We are currently planning a remade fashion extravagnza in Coventry, our home town. The emphasis will be on repairing, redeeming and remaking old clothing and will be arranged in partnership with our friends at Youpunkeroo, local artists, maker-producers and anyone else who enjoys giving sewing a bit of a go. There will be workshops and demonstrations, a fashion show and remade fashion fair, an exhibition of exciting remade fashion and lots more. If you would like to be involved in the planning, can offer sponsorship, would like to demonstrate your skills to the fine people of Coventry, would like to sell your own remade fashion or have other ideas for things we should be doing, get in contact. Reconstyling is a new concept in ethical clothing. It means taking old garments and turning them into new and exciting garments. The new and exciting field of using recycled fabrics is moving fast and our contribution is to begin factory quality production of garments. Reconstyled garments in the future will be made from old garments, so each piece will be unique. However, they will be made of the same quality and standard rather than as one-off pieces. So one garment will have the same look and feel as another in the range, but will have a certain individuality.

We will be launching two lines of reconstyled jeans in Spring 09. These photos give a flavour of the innovative design of these garments. Trade and press enquires for further product information are welcome.
