Some of our achievements
We held the first Remade Fashion Fair in Birmingham at the Custard Factory on 21 February. Please check out the stallholders that attended and contact us if you would like to see something similar in your area.
The V-vamp was a revamping competition we held to encourage people to think about reusing clothing to make new things. We sent out v-neck t-shirts and were amazed by the variety of ideas that people came up with. The prize was awarded to Charlotte Brookes - please check out the v-vamp website to see her design.
Made In Bethlehem Bethlehem is a place we have all heard of, but when we went there to look at producing organic cotton clothing everyone thought we were crazy. However the needs are great, with very high unemployment rates and a widespread feeling of depression at the economic situation, so we decided the impossible was worth attempting. We imported organic cotton and worked with local factories to find new clients, such as No Sweat Apparel.
Made In Coventry We really like being part of our community in Coventry, so we were really excited when a local designer called Susie Howarth wanted to use our Bethlehem t-shirts for her Coventry themed designs. We supplied t-shirts and also helped with sales and publicity for the Made In Coventry range.
